For those of you who know our mom, Janet Shelnutt Allen, you know she has always been the definition of selfless. She is our rock—a loving mother, an amazing Nanny, and a constant source of unconditional support for everyone in her life. She has always shown up, no matter the season and no matter how hard things got.  She has spent her entire life putting others first, giving endlessly, and loving deeply without ever expecting anything in return.

And now, we are writing to share some difficult news.

At the start of the new year, our mom was diagnosed with lung cancer. She has also been quietly battling COPD for some time, and the combination has been devastating. The woman who once spent her days running after her grandkids is now facing a daily struggle just to catch her breath. Simple tasks we often take for granted have become exhausting hurdles for her.

This sudden diagnosis has been emotionally overwhelming, and the financial weight of medical bills and medication is becoming an added burden on her & her husband Ken. Our goal is to ensure she can focus all her energy on fighting this disease and staying strong, so she can be the Mom we need & the Nanny her grandkids need and the wife to her husband that she wants to

be. Instead of worrying about bills, the expenses and if she can afford doctor visits and treatment.

We want to make sure she is as comfortable and cared for as possible during this incredibly difficult time.
