Hello! This is Ruby, speaking on behalf of my mom, Janet Norman. A few days ago, she tripped over a scooter and completely faceplanted, breaking both of her wrists in the process. Although her head does not need treatment, she badly needs surgery in both of her wrists. Since she is a classical pianist and general music teacher, this will put a tremendous strain on our finances, and I am very concerned about her mental well-being as well.

I have been helping her do all basic tasks she’d need her hands for and subbing for her piano gigs, but surgery is really the only way for my mom to maintain a normal quality of life. We found a very good hand surgeon that would restore her hands to normal use, and the only barrier to that is money. I care about my mom and want her to get better, but the medical expenses keep piling up and neither of us know how we can pay for them all at once—especially with the fact that she does not have insurance and has to self-pay the medical bills from the hospital, hand surgeon, and extra medical expenses.

We would greatly appreciate any assistance that could be provided, because neither of us expected something like this to happen, especially at such a bad time.
