Support Janet Chadwick's Fight Against Glioblastoma

Hello Friends,

As many of you may know, our sweet Janet Chadwick has recently and suddenly been diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma brain cancer in March of this year. Janet and her daughter Greyson have put together a supportive and uplifting community of theater, music and dance. This program has been life-changing, and a sense of home, for 100’s children over the years. Janet has spent over 30 years at Smoke Rise Academy of the Arts and 20 years at Greater Atlanta Christian School, and is a joy for the families and the community she works with. Theater and music bring us together in powerful ways – and right now, our community is uniting to support the ones that have poured so much of their love, time, and talent into all of us.

 

When you work in the theater and dance arena, you are considered “freelancers” and taking time off looks very different than it does for your typical salaried individual. There is no PTO to cover Janet’s medical appointments, chemo treatments, and recovery process. Each day that Janet and Greyson miss of work takes a financial toll on the family. But they have chosen to fight and prioritize her health. And this is where we can come in.

 

As the family focuses on treatment, care and being together, this is the way we can come together and sustain them in that effort. Any money raised will go directly to the family to assist with any additional cost associated with medical care, living expenses, and providing space for the family to stay present and supported as much as possible.

 

You may not be familiar with the Glioblastoma cancer, but it is considered to be the most aggressive & fast growing brain cancer. Janet is determined to fight and give it all she's got - like she does everything in life. And we are determined to support her, and her family, in this fight.
