Our niece Janessa was on vacation in Scottsdale, AZ with friends and family when she and another friend were badly injured in an unfortunate accident. Janessa was taken by ambulance to the hospital where they discovered 8 compression fractures in her spine.
By the grace of God, she did not need surgery but she will have a very long recovery ahead of her. She’s currently in a back brace and unable to walk without a walker. On July 27th her mom Lindsay was able to get her home to Grand Junction via a painful flight but the doctors didn’t want her in a vehicle for upwards of 10 hours.
She will be moving back in with her mom so she can assist with her care. Not only will this impact Janessa’s ability to work for an extended period of time, she was also uninsured when the accident took place. All services provided in Arizona will be self-pay responsibility.
Janessa is a strong, healthy, amazing girl and she will heal from this. God has already worked miracles with her narrowly avoiding paralysis and not needing surgery. We know He will continue to.
We are a faithful family and put all our trust in the Lord and the doctors who will help Ness along this healing journey.
We hope to help to alleviate even a fraction of the financial burden she’s facing at just 20 years old.
Any contribution is deeply appreciated. We love you all, we know Ness does too! Please keep her in your prayers.
With Gratitude,
Sarah Kuntz & Meghan Barton
