Support Jane’s fight with brain cancer

Our dear Jane—a mother, wife, daughter, and friend—has been battling the toughest fight, a fight for her life. Jane received a devastating diagnosis that altered her beautiful life and that of her family. A little over a year ago, Jane experienced what she thought were migraines caused by everyday nonsense and stress. After an emergency room visit, many scans, and tests, Jane and her family received the most unexpected and heartbreaking news, which revealed glioblastoma: terminal brain cancer and a grade 4 malignant brain tumor. Her cozy life with her husband, Sergio, and 3-year-old daughter, Julianna, has been upended in the most drastic and abrupt way.

After receiving multiple treatments, Jane continues to fight, though in the past month, she has taken a turn for the worst, and this fight is coming to an end. Jane has been placed in hospice care and is surrounded with love of her family and friends. She continues to receive constant care from her husband, Sergio, who has devoted his life to helping others as an FDNY EMT. He will now have to continue to support their home and, most importantly, care for their daughter, Julianna. This new way of being leads us to you—Jane and Sergio’s community of family and friends—to ask for your help, support, grace, and, above all, love.
