I am thrilled to share my transformative journey from 270 lbs to 185 lbs. I can now breathe much better, and my asthma has significantly improved. Previously, I struggled to catch my breath during daily activities, which was particularly challenging given my height. I initially embarked on this journey through diet and exercise, but my breathing difficulties prompted my doctor to prescribe Zepbound two years ago. While Zepbound was effective initially, I began experiencing concerning side effects, including heart issues and numbness in my body, which led to multiple visits to the emergency room. Ultimately, we concluded that these side effects were related to Zepbound. Despite this, I credit the medication for helping me reach my current weight.

I have now decided to take the next step in my journey by pursuing a tummy tuck procedure. This decision is rooted in my health and personal progress, rather than concerns about others' opinions. I have worked diligently to achieve this transformation and am ready for a significant change. I recently placed a deposit for my procedure due to diastasis recti, which requires muscle repair, as my stomach will not revert to its previous state on its own. I am excited to begin this new chapter as I prepare for my surgery. My doctor is also considering a prescription for Wegovy to support further weight loss leading up to the surgery.

To anyone who has experienced being overweight and taken the steps necessary to achieve their health goals, I congratulate you! I am genuinely happy and excited about my journey. Unfortunately, I do not have a robust support system, and I have faced negative comments regarding my choice to use medication for weight loss. However, those individuals do not understand my journey or the challenges I face. Here's to a new beginning—after two years of hard work, I am ready for surgery!
