As most of you know, Janel (she/he/they) is a dedicated caregiver in both her personal and professional lives. She works as a doula and a massage therapist, providing deep, physically-demanding attention and services to clients.

 

This November J will have gender-affirming surgery to more fully and truthfully embody his identity. In anticipation for the operation and the six-week recovery, J has had to clear their schedule, declining all doula work and pausing his massage practice so his body can recuperate.

 

We're raising money to support J during this transition when her income is suspended. Help us provide the kind of care, respite and nurturing that J has given so many others in the community.
