Support Jane Whitner's Care After Loss of Ned Whitner
Donation protected
Jane Whitner is a lifelong educator in Brevard County, serving as an elementary school teacher for over 40 years. Following complications from a hip replacement, she was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease and is now wheelchair-bound with limited ability to move her lower body. Her husband, Ned Whitner, served dutifully and lovingly as her primary caretaker from the date of her original hip surgery to his death on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, from an unexpected cardiac event. With the unforeseen loss of her husband, the cost of her care will rapidly and dramatically increase. All funds donated will go directly to costs created by his absence related to her care.
Major (USMC Ret.) Ned Whitner was a longtime Brevard County resident, a beloved husband, father, friend, and neighbor. He died unexpectedly in his sleep from a cardiac event on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. For nearly the last 20 years, he was known as the owner of "Ned's Knives", a fixture at gun shows around the state. Remembered for his larger-than-life presence and loyalty as a friend, he befriended almost all who met him.
