Hey Everyone! My name is Alissia Starling, and I am creating this fundraiser for my friend Jana Reff.

Jana is a single mom to 2 beautiful kiddos, Reigny and Xavier. In February 2023, Jana was diagnosed with Stage 5 Kidney Failure with dialysis starting not long after. Since July, she is having to drive to Hibbing 3 days a week to receive dialysis. This will be her new normal unless she can get on the kidney and pancreas transplant list and find a match.

Of course that isn't the only problems Jana is having. She is having a Double (possibly Triple) Heart Bypass on December 4th, which is a huge surgery in itself. There are a lot of unknowns for Jana as her body recovers, but the less stress she has could drastically change her outcome. I truly believe physical AND mental health go hand in hand.

I've known Jana since high school, and she has always been the person with a smile on her face no matter what life threw at her, the person who always listened with understanding, and would help out however she can.

For myself, watching all of this happening to Jana especially during the holiday makes my anxiety go crazy. I can't even begin to imagine how that is for her and she is truly a saint to still be smiling after everything she has been through. I would love nothing else then to give Jana, Reigny, and Xavier the peace of not having to worry about even a small portion of bills or gas money to drive to dialysis throughout this holiday season and beyond for as long as she is needing dialysis.

I will post updates as I receive them and keep this updated as much as possible.
