My sister Jammie, and my nephew Aldous, have been forced to evacuate their home as the Aspen Fire in Colorado continues to grow. The fire is now dangerously close to their neighborhood, and they are living with the uncertainty of not knowing whether they will have a home to return to.
Like so many families affected by these devastating wildfires, they had only a short amount of time to gather a few essentials before leaving behind everything else their home, cherished belongings, family memories, and the life they have worked so hard to build.
Right now, their focus is simply staying safe, but the financial burden of evacuation is growing each day. Hotel stays, food, gas, clothing, and other emergency necessities add up quickly. If the worst happens and their home is damaged or destroyed, they will face the overwhelming challenge of starting over.
We are asking for your help during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward helping Jammie and Aldous with emergency living expenses and, if needed, rebuilding their lives after this disaster.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, and community. Your support, prayers, and kindness mean more than words can express.
Please keep Jammie, Aldous, and all the families, firefighters, and first responders battling the Aspen Fire in your thoughts and prayers.
From our family to yours, thank you for your generosity, compassion, and support during this heartbreaking time.
