In November, Jami took an important step toward improving her health by establishing care with a new primary doctor. Around that time, she began noticing abdominal swelling, unexpected weight gain, and occasional pain. While waiting for follow-up appointments with specialists, the pain worsened and led to a trip to the emergency room at the end of November. At that time, doctors did not find any immediate danger and advised her to continue follow-up testing with her primary doctor to determine the cause.

Just a few weeks later, right before Christmas, Jami returned to the ER due to increasing pain and discomfort. During this visit, doctors performed an abdominal and pelvic CT scan and discovered a 17 cm ovarian mass. After additional appointments and testing, Jami received devastating news in January 2026: the mass was cancerous. She was diagnosed with Stage 3 ovarian cancer with malignant ascites, a condition where fluid builds up in the abdomen.

Jami is now courageously undergoing chemotherapy treatments and is preparing for an extensive surgery in the near future, followed by additional chemotherapy once she has recovered.

Despite this incredibly difficult diagnosis, Jami has continued to work whenever possible while attending treatments and appointments, alongside the support of her husband, Bryan. However, as medical bills continue to grow and both Jami and Bryan face the possibility of running out of paid time off during surgery and recovery, the financial strain is becoming overwhelming.

We are asking for support to help ease some of this burden so Jami can focus on what matters most — fighting cancer and healing.

Any donation, big or small, will go directly toward helping the Alderton family with medical expenses and time away from work during this challenging journey. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page and keeping Jami and her family in your thoughts and prayers would mean the world.

Thank you for your kindness, support, and generosity during this difficult time.
