Hello everyone.

My name is Lindsey and I am Jamie's best friend. (It is going to say organized by Anthony Dupas, Jamie's husband, I have it set up all.under him so funds go directly to them).

Her and her family have been through a lot lately. So i decided to take it upon my self to do what I can to help.

Tony & Jamie have always been the ones to step in and help others when they can. Tony a mechanic who has a full time job with a dealership in southeastern WI., but also works on family, friends and even community members vehicles- not charging them any labor. He is a great man who believes in giving back and helping those who are in need. Jamie, works in customer service from home while also taking care if the home and her 2 beautiful children who are 8 & 6. She also has a local community search, locate & reunite animal group. Tony and Jamie have found, trapped and reunited many lost pets in our area, with their owners. They are always doing something to gelp others in need, so now I ask for you to consider helping them in their time of need.

Over this past year Jamie has suffered from pretty horrific pain in her abdomen/pelvis. She had some procedures, and it just never got better. She recently was referred to an OB oncologist to asses an abnormal growth, and polyps in her uterus. It was determined that she needed a full hysterectomy due to the severity and size of the abnormal masses, along with her pain. During the surgery discussions and appointments Jamie started having severe pain behind her belly button. She went to the ER and found that she had a terrible umbilical hernia on top of everything else. So she was referred to a general surgeon who specialized in abdominal wall repair. He along with her OB oncologist formed a plan. The OB oncologist and the hernia specialist would do the operation on the same day, at the same time. The OB oncologist first then the hernia specialist. On Monday October 6th that surgery took place. All went well, as good as it could have gone. Jamie was in the hospital at St Luke's for 2 days following surgery, to manage pain and get her stable enough to be home. When released all went well. They told her she needed to be on blood thinners for 28 days (injections in her legs). Normally its 7 days but because she had a history of a blood clot they extended it. They told her due to the 2 surgeries, she should expect 8 to 10 weeks of healing. Her husband took off for the first week she was home, and then a few extra days. Healing was ok, but she had a hard time walking due to the hernia repair. They opted to not use mesh and just overlap and sew her muscles together, causing pain when she tried to walk straight. A few days before the 2 week mark from surgery, she woke up in the middle if the night in pretty bad pain. She took something for pain and waited it out. The next day was sunday and it got a bit worse so she stayed in bed and tony watched over her. Monday rolled around and she immediately called and messaged her OB oncology surgeon. They called back right away. They put her on the schedule for the following day but advised her she should probably go to the ER. Later that day it got much worse and she was crying in pain. Tony took her to St Luke's ER. After 4.5 hrs in the waiting room (they forgot her) she got a room and they did a CT scan. They found a larger fluid filled area they called a "hematoma" where her uterus used to be. They admitted and the next day she had her 3rd surgery now, to place a drain in her pelvis. The drain was to be in about 2 weeks. She was in the hospital for about 4 days and sent home with the drain, supplies, and education on how to clean and empty it, as well as track the output. The drain was so painful she cried a lot. She could feel it moving in her pelvis and it was hard for her to walk. Here is where she started having urinary issues and an infection started. A week after that she went to the ER again because the interventional radiology team who did the drain placement advised her to. So she did. In the ER they found a nasty bladder infection. She could barely walk the pain was so bad. They did a CT and noticed the drain had moved and she needed it taken out and replaced. They sent her home in agony and the next day interventional radiology called. They following day they performed the 4th surgery, and placed a new drain. When she was in recovery she tried to stand to use the bathroom and fell back into her bed. Her nurse and husband immediately knew something was wrong. She screamed in pain. Over the next few hrs she would continue crying dn hyperventilating saying "something is wrong something is wrong". She called me sobbing and I was livid that no one was figuring out what went wrong. The nurse called the surgeon in and he simply told her to give Jamie more pain meds. During this time the surgeon had notified the OB oncologist of the results of the CT he did while placing the new drain. The OB surgeon called Jamie's phone and spoke with her husband Tony. Eventually it was agreed upon to get Jamie to her office. Two nurses from the recovery area and Jamie's husband, wheeled her across 2 building to the OB surgeons office. They did an exam and looked over the CT results and came to the decision that the second drain not needed and was causing the excruciating pain. They cut the suture attaching it to her skin and told her to take a deep breathe and ripped it out in the office. Tony said she screamed ao loud. They wound up admitting her for the 3rd time to St Luke's where she is now. Today is day 6. A CT scan was done on day 3 because her pain comtomued to worsen. It didnt give good results. The hernia that was just repaired is somehow back. Not as bad as before but it is there. She also has a blood clot in a vein by her ovary, caused by surgery. They also are unsure if the fluid is an abscess. Some Dr's say yes some say no. So they are watching it. She was put on eloquis blood thinners, a double dose for a week and then 2 times a day for 6 months. The hernia surgeon came to see her and she may need surgery again once the blood clot has dicipated and they can stop the blood thinners safely to do another surgery.

They also state drhey believe there is possibly permanent nerve damage from the second surgery with the drain placement. Which was not even necessary.

Her body is exhausted, bruised badly inside and out, she is losing hope and having a hard time seeing a light at thr end of the tunnel. She has missed so much in thr last month with her kiddos. Pumpkin farm, field trip, trick or treat, spirit week (dressing up her daughter) and she misses her family and pets.

It wasnt supposed to be like this. She doesnt deserve this. Their family doesnt deserve this.

She and Tony have 2 small children at home. One whom is disabled with a rare genetic condition and requires extra attention and help with some things. Right now Tony, myself and some of their amazing church friends have bene handling things with the kids. But Tomybis exhausted as well. His hours are half of what he normally works because he is there with Jamie during procedures and consults. Their savings is depleted.

Medical bills, medication costs, bills, they need help. They refused to do this themselves so I took it on. I refuse to watch good people suffer.

Please find it in your heart to help. Every penny helps.

When they allow her to go home, there will be so many follow ups with different specialists, and medications, and tests. She is unable to drive for awhile due to medications.

If you cannot donate, please share. It means so much to me and to their family.

God Bless!
