In October of last year, my uncle Jamie was diagnosed with stage four cancer. Since his diagnosis, he was unable to work, and our family has been doing everything we can to support him. This past Friday, May 8th, Jamie took a turn for the worst. He suffered a fall and was taken to the hospital, where doctors discovered a brain bleed and four tumors on his brain. The situation was so severe that there was nothing they could do. On Monday, May 11th, Jamie passed away at 11:24am, leaving our family heartbroken.

After Jamie’s passing, we learned that his employment insurance had been canceled, and his secondary insurance won’t kick in for another two years. This has left our family facing unexpected funeral expenses and financial challenges during an already difficult time. We want to honor Jamie’s memory and give him the farewell he deserves, but the costs are overwhelming.
