Dear Friends,

My name is DK Haas and I am one of Jamie Hampton Estrella's parents, along with Dee Hampton. Jamie has stage 3 uterine cancer and is not able to work while she undergoes surgery and treatment. Her surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, May 8 and we will know more about whether the cancer has metastasized after the surgery. In the meantime she is in excruciating pain and unable to work. Jamie needs help paying her rent, buying groceries, paying her medical insurance, and other bills while she undergoes surgery and treatment.

Last year Jamie proudly became a certified pet groomer and worked at PetSmart in San Leandro until she had to take time off due to the effects of the cancer; especially pain and exhaustion. Being a dog groomer has given her so much confidence and our family is proud of the path she has carved for herself. Jamie lives with her boyfriend Eric (pictured next to her) and he is a Lyft driver and is unable to cover expenses for both of them.

A big-hearted lover of animals, Jamie is quick with a comeback and a good joke. She cared for her niece and nephew when they were young, and would lay down her life for her sister and her family. She's creative, an avid reader, and a collector of all things Stitch and sparkly.

We are trying to gather enough money to pay the bills for a few months so anything you can do will be amazing.

Dee and I are so thankful that many of you have asked "What can we do?" Donating to Jamie's living expenses and treatment expenses would be an enormous help.
