My mother, Jamie Owens, was diagnosed with melanoma in the eye a little over a year ago. She had the eye separated from the socket, radioactive seeds put in for a week, and then removed and the eye reattached. The tumor in the eye has since shrunk, but after a year of working and looking after the needs of those around her (my mother is a wonderful example of having a servant's heart), her health has seen a steep decline. She has recently been informed that she has an 8.3 cm mass on her liver, which is very swollen and functioning poorly, and her gallbladder is collapsed with a thickened lining and nodules on it. She is unable to eat hardly anything, has lost weight rapidly, and is incredibly weak, so she is forced to quit working and fight to prioritize her health and seek measures to heal. However, with my father's income being low (he is a school bus driver) and my mother's income now gone, the daunting factor of multiple upcoming medical bills is looming over them. If there is any support you could provide, it would be incredibly meaningful to us!
