My name is Roxy, and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my best friend, Jamie Schubert, and her precious son, Joseph James “JJ”.

On November 11th, 2025, Jamie’s world began to fall apart as JJ’s condition took a sudden and tragic turn. After 15 months of fighting harder than any baby should ever have to, JJ passed away on November 14th, 2025. He left this world peacefully in his mother’s arms, surrounded by love, with his godfather right beside him.

Jamie never left his side. She has been his constant advocate, his voice, his safe place, and the source of his comfort since the day he was born. JJ’s strength, courage, and smile touched everyone who met him. Even on the hardest days, he fought with the heart of a warrior. Jamie did everything she could to give him love, stability, and hope despite overwhelming medical challenges and months of living inside a hospital room.

Now she faces the unimaginable: planning her baby’s funeral and trying to honor his beautiful life while grieving the greatest loss a mother can endure.

No parent should ever have to bury their child, and no mother should have to do it alone.
