Support Jamie in her fight with Cancer!

To all my friends and family,

As many of you know my sister Jamie has been diagnosed with (at minimum Stage II) Breast Cancer and has a difficult battle ahead of her. Jamie is a great mother, sister, friend, and one of the most hard working woman I know. She is always taking time to help others: be it is making a costume, hemming a prom dress, cooking food for people in need, raising money for or helping organize charity events and helping others with a home renovation. She is always in service to others. Because I know Jamie would NEVER ask for help, I am doing it for her.

Following her diagnosis, Jamie’s MRI showed an additional 5-6 Tumors and that her initial Tumor was actually 3cm NOT the 1.9 they originally saw on the ultrasound. She goes in for a Bilateral Mastectomy on August 19th and will have 2 more surgeries over the next couple of months. I would like her to be able to take time off after surgery and be at peace knowing she will be able to pay for her living expenses, medical bills, and buy the recovery supplies that she needs.

Just leading up to surgery Jamie has had 27 appointments/procedures to date. With the cost of these appointments, surgery/hospital fees and deductibles and only having enough time saved for another 3 weeks of paid time off, she is already running short. I hope you will help ease the stress of the cost associated so that she can have as little stress as possible during this time.

Jamie is one of the most loyal and amazing friends that you would want in your corner and now it's our chance to be in her corner as she faces this challenging battle. Due to her diagnosis and treatments during the next several months, which likely include chemotherapy and surgery, and hormone blockers, she will be forced to work during treatments without our support. Many of her family, friends, and co-workers have reached out to her and I and have asked how they can help. Besides prayers, the most helpful thing would be to help alleviate some of the unexpected costs of her treatments and help make up for any losses in earnings. I will continue to update this page with information on Jamie as she fights this battle...very courageously I may add. I am in awe of her spirit and resilience during all of this and encourage all of you to reach out with positive words, encouragement, and just a quick hello on here.
