Support Jamie Darcy's Health and Recovery
Donation protected
In 2017, Jamie Darcy left his homeland of Ireland to build a new life in Emporia, Kansas. Over the past several years, Jamie has given so much of himself to this community he now calls home. He's an incredibly talented artist and graphic designer, creating Emporia’s city logo and helping to shape the brand identities of small businesses throughout the area.
Jamie's dedication goes beyond his artistic contributions. He’s a community builder who founded the No Coast Film Festival and led it passionately as chairman until 2022. His commitment to Emporia is also evident in his role on the board of Bloom House, where he works to support and uplift troubled teens. Jamie's heart and talent have touched many lives, making Emporia a better, more vibrant place to live.
Unfortunately, Jamie’s health has taken a serious downturn. Living with type 1 diabetes has meant constant management and medical expenses, but recently, his condition has worsened. Now unable to work, Jamie is facing mounting medical debt, along with the financial strain of everyday living expenses.
Jamie has given so much to this community, and now he needs our help. We're hoping to raise $10,000 to cover his rent, utilities, and a portion of his medical expenses while he focuses on regaining his health.
Your support will help relieve the financial burden on Jamie, allowing him to focus on recovery and, one day soon, return to the community he loves and has given so much to. Every dollar counts, and any amount you can give will be greatly appreciated. Let’s rally around Jamie, just as he’s rallied around us, and show him the strength of Emporia’s support.
Thank you for any contribution, and please share Jamie’s story to help us reach our goal.
