Jamie is the embodiment of compassion and service. Since making Vancouver her home in 2002, she has devoted herself to uplifting others—championing causes for disabled veterans, supporting people in recovery, advocating for those facing homelessness, and working tirelessly for mental health and child abuse prevention. Her leadership in neighborhood coalitions and dedication to education outreach have made a lasting impact on countless lives.

In 2007, Jamie’s life changed forever when she was injured in the line of duty as a volunteer firefighter EMT. The traumatic brain injury she sustained led to years of challenging surgeries and ongoing health struggles. Despite these hardships, Jamie’s spirit has never wavered. She continues to give selflessly, always ready to help a neighbor in need, never seeking recognition or assistance for herself.

This winter has been especially difficult for Jamie. She now faces mounting bills, and is struggling to afford basic necessities like utilities and groceries with three upcoming surgeries scheduled. Jamie has always been there for her community—now, she needs us to be there for her. If you are able, please consider donating to help Jamie regain stability and peace of mind. Your kindness will mean the world to someone who has given so much to others.
