This fundraiser is for my stepfather Jamey and my Mom Deb, who are facing a difficult winter and could use a little support to stay safe and warm.

On November 11th, my Mom Deb underwent a major surgery that resulted in a leg amputation. She’s now staying with me for the winter while she recovers and learns to navigate her new reality. Meanwhile, Jamey is back at their home doing everything he can by caring for the animals, maintaining the home, and stretching every dollar of Mom’s disability check (their only source of income) as far as it will go.

Their only vehicle is currently broken down, which has added even more strain and made it nearly impossible for Jamey to take on additional work or handle the winter prep the way he normally would.

Most urgently, they are almost out of firewood. Wood is their primary source of heat, and they have only about 30 pieces left. To make it through the rest of the season safely, they need approximately 3 cord of split, seasoned firewood.

I’m starting this fundraiser to help cover the cost of the firewood and a few small necessities while navigating Mom’s recovery and the loss of reliable transportation. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference in helping them get the warmth and stability they need to make it through the winter.
