Many of you know us. Currently, I'm caring for James (my ex of 12 years) post-stroke as he has no one else at the moment. He's having some difficulties still with balance, dexterity, left side weakness, speech, and cognitive impairment. We're just starting therapy that is absolutely necessary and will, without a doubt, assist James with a better quality of life. Meanwhile, he's on medication that's all extremely important for his well-being. That being said, he has a health insurance deductible that I wasn't aware of until this week, in the amount of $3000. Therapy, no problem. I talked him into it; he knew it would come out of pocket, but he would be billed for it and be able to take care of it a little at a time. It's absolutely necessary for his betterment.
But the medication... He cannot afford this month's and possibly next month's medication for his diabetes, AFib, blood pressure, and brain health. This is my first time caring for someone in this capacity. Unfortunately, until his social security disability comes through with back pay, he is at a deficit, barely scraping by at the moment.
If you can find it in your heart to help me help him maintain his medication for the month and pay down his deductible, we'd be so grateful.
I'm only one person. I'm doing my best for him.
His medication for the month is $1838.15, which is insane in my opinion. It absolutely breaks my heart, especially when I think of all the seniors and disabled or differently-abled people that have no one to advocate or help them.
Please, if you can...
Sincerely grateful
Amy Beth
