Hello everyone,

My name is James Osiris Baldwin, and I'm a 40-year-old trans man who has been on a long and often challenging journey toward becoming my true self.

I grew up highly disadvantaged in Australia, but after overcoming many obstacles, I was able to immigrate to the United States to realize my dream of running my own business. Today, I'm the successful author of the Archemi Online Chronicles, one of the co-writers for the Dungeon Crawler Carl cinematic audio series, and will soon be publishing two more series: Brute Force, another LitRPG series, and the queer science-fantasy Voidhunter series!

Despite these successes, my rough start in life and the challenges I faced as an immigrant to the USA meant I've had to continually delay one of my most important personal goals: gender-affirming top surgery. I've now been on testosterone for 18 years, navigating life with constant discomfort and dysphoria due to not being able to align my physical body with my identity. Finally, after years of waiting and striving, I've reached a level of personal and financial stability where surgery could become a reality.

To make this happen, I have a few options: some overseas and some here in the US. However, my only available insurance has an extremely high deductible and out-of-pocket max - $8500 and $9200 respectively. In all likelihood, I will be traveling overseas to get surgery in either Lithuania or Turkey.

I need your help to cover the cost of the surgery itself, travel expenses, post-operative equipment to ensure proper healing, and care for my beloved cats, Muriel, Sugarpie, Lily, and Sadie, while I'm overseas recovering.
