Support James's Battle Against Leukemia
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind-hearted Strangers,
I'm reaching out to you today with a plea on behalf of my friend, James Harrison, who was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia, as well as acute myeloid leukemia, on Valentine’s Day 2024. That day, his life, as well as his children's, was turned upside down. He has always been a pillar of strength since I’ve known him, but now he's facing the biggest battle of his life.
James has gone through multiple sessions of chemotherapy, full-body radiation, and is currently in the hospital recovering from his bone marrow transplant. Since his diagnosis, his bills have quickly piled up. As his friend, watching and hearing him struggle on social media, where he keeps everyone updated on his progress, has motivated me to seek the community's help for him. The doctors have informed him that his treatment will continue long after he’s discharged, with multiple weekly outpatient follow-up appointments, healthy diet changes, costs of non-covered medications, home utility costs, car insurance, fuel expenses, as well as the unforeseen expenses that come with being a cancer patient. Even if positive outcomes are met in post-transplant recovery, the financial strain on him is already overwhelming. James is also prohibited from driving, as well as maintaining employment, so he is currently dependent on others at this time.
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in James’s life. The fight against cancer has been harsh, as seen through moments of his journey on social media. Your support will not only help alleviate the financial burden James faces, but will also provide him with the peace of mind he needs to focus on his treatment and recovery.
Please consider donating and sharing James’s GoFundMe page with your friends, family, and coworkers if possible. Together, we can rally around James and show him that he's not alone in this fight.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity, love, and support during this difficult time.
With gratitude,
Christina
