Dear friends, family & fellow viewers,
It’s not every day that an 11-year-old gets to fufill his dream. I have loved sharks ever since I was 3 years old and still do!
Researching sharks is like eating a pack of sour skittles to me, it’s great every time! What are you doing JP, you might be asking? I have been invited to visit Nova Scotia, (an island off the coast of Canada if you are not familiar) and to dive in a cage with sharks, with my favorite shark researcher and ecologist, Dr. Neil Hammerschlag! How did this happen? I wrote him a letter last summer and it evolved into email communications back and forth, then into this special invite to join Dr. Hammerschlag on his research vessel! What an amazing day of learning this will be for me, aboard the Atlantic Shark Expedition!
My goal is to earn $2,500 for this trip of a lifetime, which will help me cover the costs of my flight, food, lodging, and this special dive I get to do with the marine ecologist I look up to the most, Dr. Neil Hammerschlag.
If you are willing to donate $30+, I will send you a cool mako shark sticker that I designed myself as a thank you!
Any extra support beyond my goal will be donated to The Atlantic shark research foundation to “Promote the conservation of sharks through research and education.” Thank you for considering supporting me for this special opportunity and for supporting sharks along the way! I am VERY thankful.
Best fishes,
JAMESON
{P.S. I will also send you a recap of what happened on my trip when I get back!}
