My cousin Jameson is like many teen boys. He’s a wrestler. He loves to fish and ride his dirt bike on weekends. He loves spending time with his friends and family. He talks about becoming a heavy equipment operator when he’s older. He’s a good kid with a bright future.
Recently Jameson spent a weekend feeling under the weather. A few days later his mom noticed he had swollen lymph nodes in his neck. After a week of doctor’s appointments, testing and advocating for answers, they received the diagnosis: Hodgkins Lymphoma-Stage 4.
Jameson’s entire life has suddenly been turned upside down. He can’t go to school. He can’t wrestle this year. He has to receive chemotherapy every other week for at least six months. He will lose his hair and endure the many side effects of chemotherapy.
Jameson and his mom have to travel several hours each week and stay overnight in a hotel for his PICC line dressing changes and chemotherapy. This is a heavy financial burden, especially this time of year. Let’s help ease their worries a little and raise some money for travel, lost wages, and for Jameson’s upcoming birthday and Christmas!
And please pray that Jameson can beat this and get back to doing all the things that he loves. Thank you!
