Hello, my name is Nana Kim. My son and his wife, whom most of you know, just had their little Jameson Lane. During the delivery, they came across complications with Jameson, and he was in the NICU for 9 days. He was diagnosed with Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy, or H.I.E. for short. H.I.E. refers to a brain injury resulting from too little blood flow or oxygen delivery to the brain. He was under a 72-hour cold treatment where the NICU had him at 92 degrees in a hypothermic state and then rewarmed to normal. He will be undergoing a study through an organization called Cool Prime.

This experience has been traumatic for them, with mom's emergency C-section and being separated from dad and Jameson on day one due to him being transferred to the Children's Hospital. It threw a curveball in their plans for their family and set them back a good bit.

My son doesn't like to ask for help and would rather figure it out, but they need it this time. Thank you so much, and any little bit is much appreciated.
