My name is James. Since 2021, I have been fighting a long and difficult custody battle to protect my children from instability and ongoing challenges. I have been hesitant to share this over the past 4 years, because reasons, but I'm running against a wall and need support at this point to help get through this final leg.

Throughout this ordeal, our family home has been one of the few constants for the kids. While my children have faced multiple moves since 2021, this home has been the place of stability I’ve fought hard to hold onto. In 2022, I leveraged Hometap to access equity and keep the home during the divorce and ongoing litigation because stability is essential for my children’s well-being.

The legal battle continues, bringing mounting costs I cannot cover alone. I am raising funds to help with legal fees related to custody proceedings and to maybe buy back the family home, securing a safe, steady environment for my kids.
