We are reaching out to rally support for an incredible man, James Tontegode—a devoted husband, father, and friend—who is currently undergoing treatment for esophageal cancer.

James’ journey began with what seemed like minor digestive issues, which eventually led to an endoscopy and a life-altering diagnosis of esophageal cancer. Since then, James has faced this battle head-on, undergoing countless tests, appointments, and four intense rounds of chemotherapy—all while continuing to work and support his family with remarkable strength and courage.

In early August, James is scheduled for a major surgery, followed by four additional rounds of chemotherapy. His recovery will require a 6–10 day hospital stay and an unknown amount of time off work. During this difficult period, James will be unable to work, and his wife, Katelin, will also take time off to care for him and their family.

We are launching this GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden during this time of uncertainty. The funds raised will go directly to James and Katie to help with:
