My name is James and recently my life changed over the course of an afternoon.

For several months, I’ve had nearly constant pain in my entire back, pressure and pain in my abdomen and right lower side. Although it was unpleasant to deal with every day, this outcome is exactly why I avoided coming to the hospital for as long as I did…

After going to the ER with severe pain, jaundice, and abnormal blood tests, I was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer that has spread to my liver. It’s been a shock to me and my family, and we are still trying to process everything.

Over the past several months I had been losing weight without trying, 40+ pounds, and dealing with symptoms that kept getting worse. Now I’m facing a long road of testing, procedures, and treatment ahead.

I’ve worked hard my whole life as a truck driver, but this diagnosis has made it actually impossible to work and keep up with everyday expenses while I focus on my health as my medical team is requiring me to stay in the hospital for the entire duration of my treatment, infact telling me that there’s a chance that I may never get to go home…

I’m starting this fundraiser to help with basic living expenses that my wife will still have to deal with at home while I’m unable to work.

Unfortunately the multi billion dollar utility companies, auto insurance companies, car payments and rent don’t stop sending bills, calling and harassing people despite their physical condition or ability to earn.
