- Carolyn and James' son, Megan and Mary Kate’s brother, Sarah’s boyfriend, Claire, Billy, Patrick, Danny, Thomas, and Mikey’s uncle, nephew, cousin, and great friend to all who know him. James needs your help!
- On Friday, April 10, James was in a tragic motorcycle accident and sustained devastating injuries.
- Friday night, the doctors at NYU Langone Hospital worked diligently to stabilize James' condition and literally keep him alive while his family and friends gathered in the waiting room praying for his survival.
- Successfully stabilizing James' condition during the evening, the doctors prepped him for nine hours of surgery on his neck and leg.
- The surgeries successfully stabilized his worst injuries, but the damage to James’ cervical spine was extensive, currently leaving him with limited mobility and feeling below his shoulders.
- James’s focus now shifts to rehabilitation and recovery. He and his mom, Carolyn, are in Denver at the Craig Hospital for Spinal Injury Rehabilitation. James will remain at Craig for inpatient rehab for the next 60-90 days, but his work and recovery will continue for the foreseeable future.
- Please help us help James take advantage of every possible therapy and technology to recover as much of his physical ability as possible. He will also need adaptive technologies to continue to live a healthy life with whatever limitations remain.
James’s spirits remain strong, and he is determined to fight with the support of his family, friends, and community. Your donations will help cover the costs of his specialized care, support his family so they can be by his side throughout the process, and assist with travel and lodging since the facility is out of state. Additionally, funds will help make necessary modifications to his home to ensure it is accessible when he returns.
In addition to financial donations, the donation of airline miles will help James’ loved ones be by his side throughout his recovery.
