Help James Beat Cancer

Many of you have asked if you can help or donate to the Shirkey family, as they are dealing with the new diagnosis of cancer for James, who is seven years old. We are asking for people to surround and pray for the Shirkey family, especially Erin, who recently became a single mother--this has been a incredibly difficult year for the Shirkey family, and this diagnosis feels overwhelming on many levels.

If you would like to assist financially, please do so here. All donations will go towards helping Erin pay for her portion of James' medical bills, hospital stays, hotel stays, gas to and from the hospital or chemo treatments, food, and bills. Erin is a freelance architect and will have little time to work in the coming months, so any assistance will make a huge impact. They will be in the PICU for quite some time before starting actual treatments, and that will be a hefty bill as well. 

We will provide more details at a later time, but I wanted to get something moving as quickly as possible. The financial aspect of a childhood illness is both overwhelming, and the last thing Erin needs to worry about right now. The amount we've listed at this point is simply a ball park figure.
