Hey y’all. Bryan here. I am so grateful to share that my father, James Sanders, received the life-changing call for a liver transplant and underwent surgery on Sunday, January 19, 2025. I am happy to say that his surgery went very well! However, the expected recovery time for this type of surgery is 4-6 months, so we’ve got a long ways to go. During much of this time, I plan to be his caregiver, staying in North Carolina to help him through this process.

As he focuses on healing, Dad is unable to work, which causes a significant financial burden. Between the medical bills, ongoing treatments, necessary medications, and daily expenses, it can be pretty overwhelming. To add to this, my father and I are also having to stay in a hotel close to the hospital for his regular checkups for the first month or two of his recovery. As you can imagine, this will be pretty expensive (e.g. hotel cost, food, other daily necessities, etc.). While it’s difficult for us to ask for help, any amount you’re able to give will make a tremendous difference in easing this burden.
