Support James' Recovery After Heart Attack

On Tuesday, November 12th, my healthy 41-year-old husband, James, was at home with our children. James was not able to breathe and had chest pains. Our son realized Dad was not okay and called 911. When EMS arrived, James was a very gray/blue color, not breathing well, sweat pouring off him. He was taken to the hospital on a STEMI code. My sweet, funny, hard-working husband and the dad to our amazing children was having a full-blown heart attack. I got to the hospital, and they would not let me in to see him, only tell me that he was critical. After waiting what seemed like forever, I was told my husband had been taken to the cath lab. We waited for 2 hours before we found out any info. James had what the doctors call the widow maker heart attack. He had a 100 percent blockage in his LAD. The doctor was able to put two stents in and open the artery. After spending a rough 24 hours in ICU, he is now stable in PCU. His echo is showing good blood flow to the whole heart.

James is a hard-working dad and husband. He is the breadwinner of our family. He will be out of work for several weeks, with no insurance or disability.

Our family is so grateful to our EMS and emergency room for saving my husband, but also to our son for saving his dad's life.

We are just here to please ask for any help to get us through these next couple of weeks. To help James get stronger and heal the proper way, so he does not stress his heart worrying about how to take care of his family.
