Support James Nygaard's Heart Transplant Recovery

My name is Jackie Nygaard, and I am reaching out on behalf of my brother, James Nygaard. He is a kind, caring, wonderful brother, dad, son, nephew, cousin, and friend. He has 3 wonderful boys who are his world.

James has suffered from birth with a serious heart condition called Transposition of the Great Arteries. He has undergone many surgeries, including multiple open-heart surgeries, a stroke, and a pacemaker, but has battled through everything, even when it has been excruciatingly difficult. He has been 4 hours from home, at the University of Minnesota Fairview Hospital for the last 8 weeks waiting on a heart transplant. ❤️

He was blessed with a new heart on September 21st, and was kept under heavy sedation since that day, for his body to start the arduous task of trying to heal. This life-changing gift is a miracle. He has a long road to recovery ahead of him, with doctor appointments, rehab, and aftercare.

We want to ensure that James can focus on healing without the added stress of medical expenses. We are asking for your generosity to help raise funds to support his road to recovery.
