My name is James Morton. I am in my 39th year of teaching. I have been an avid outdoor enthusiast until recently. 26 years ago, I had a 50-foot ice climbing fall which shattered my right ankle, but I tried not to let that slow me down. I returned to climbing, hiking, biking, and whatever else I could do. Recently, my right ankle has deteriorated to the point I am in constant pain and discomfort. After going to an ankle specialist, we have decided to amputate which will, hopefully, save further deterioration of my knees and hip due to the accident. I was hoping to put off the operation, but that is not possible.
As a teacher with my wife in college, we are having difficulty collecting the deductible for the operation. If you can find it in your hearts to donate something, it would greatly help us out.
Thank you for whatever you can do.
Best regards,
Namie & James
