Support James Montgomery's Kidney Transplant Journey
Donation protected
Hi, my name is James Montgomery. I’m 31 years old, and I’ve been living with Stage 5 renal disease for the past six years. It’s been a long and exhausting road, but I’ve done my best to keep going—to stay hopeful, to work, and to live as fully as I can.
I work as a math tutor at Horry Georgetown Technical College, where I’ve had the privilege of helping students overcome their fear of math and find confidence in their abilities. Teaching and supporting others has always brought me a deep sense of purpose. But now, I’m at a point in my life where I need help.
My kidney function is at its lowest, and a kidney transplant is my only option for survival. As you might imagine, the cost of the procedure—along with the ongoing expenses related to it—is overwhelming. That’s why I’ve created this fundraiser: to ask for your support in helping me cover the expenses that come with getting a transplant, including:
• Travel costs to and from transplant appointments and medical centers
• Food and lodging for me and my caregiver during treatment and recovery
• Medications I’ll need to take for the rest of my life to prevent organ rejection
• Basic living expenses while I recover and am unable to work
I’ve spent years giving my all to help others succeed. Now, I’m humbly asking for your support so I can continue to live, heal, and keep doing what I love.
Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help me move closer to recovery. If you’re unable to donate right now, sharing this page with others would mean the world to me.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading, supporting, and standing with me during this journey.
With gratitude,
James Montgomery
