Anyone who knows James Lee Johnson, better known as Pugs, knows someone who has spent a lifetime showing up for others. Through a career dedicated to police, fire, and EMS, Pugs has been there for countless people on some of their hardest days. A devoted husband to Gidget and parent to Skyler, Pugs has always put service, family, and community first. Now, after a devastating, life-altering accident, he and his family are facing an incredibly difficult road ahead.

Pugs was transported by helicopter and underwent emergency surgery to repair a ruptured aorta. He is also fighting through a torn spleen, multiple broken ribs, blood clots, and so many unknowns that come with such a serious trauma. As he begins what will likely be a long and uncertain recovery, the financial strain is growing alongside the emotional weight of this moment. This fundraiser will help cover medical bills, rehabilitation, and daily living expenses so Pugs, Gidget, and Skyler can focus on his healing and on staying together through the days ahead.
