Support James in Recovering from Flood Damage

I am setting this up for my son James (Jimmy). I know there are many people in the same situation, but as a mother, watching what he is going through is heartbreaking. He has always been a hard worker and he never asks for help.

On October 10th, during Hurricane Milton, he was woken by one of the weather alerts. When he got up, he stepped into water. His whole apartment was flooded and he was forced to evacuate at 2 a.m. When he walked to the parking lot, the water was waist-deep and his personal car was submerged in water. Luckily, that night he had his work truck and was able to get out.

On October 11th, he went back to gather what he could. The water in the apartment was above his ankles and all his belongings were floating. He was able to gather all his clothes, which were all soaked. On October 12th, the water had finally gone down. He went in to see what could be saved, and the only thing he left with was his TV. He has lost everything, including a car he is still making payments on, and we don't know if insurance will cover the full amount.

My husband and I are going to help him get back on his feet as much as we can, but our funds are limited also. I know there are so many people that have been affected by this storm, but if you are able to help in any way possible, it would be greatly appreciated. Any money raised will be going towards another apartment, furniture, or towards anything owed on the car.
