Hey everybody! My name is James Harlan and I recently had an accident on my bike, leaving my left hand completely broken. I have two bones in my hand that are broken and a bone in my wrist that is going to have to be taken out completely. They discovered that I have avascular necrosis of the bone in my wrist upon receiving an X-ray for the other broken bones. Due to my hand being broken, I will need to have surgery that I can’t afford. This injury will not properly heal without surgical intervention. As someone who works with their hands every day, this injury is life-changing. Not having full use of my hand will have a long-term effect on my family, not being able to work and provide.
