Hi, my name is James Gallagher, and until recently I worked full-time as an Uber driver. Driving has always been how I supported myself and stayed independent. Unfortunately, I recently suffered a stroke, which has changed my life in ways I never expected.

Since the stroke, I’ve been struggling with limited movement and weakness on my right side, making it impossible to continue driving right now. I’m focusing on recovery and therapy, but the medical bills, therapy costs, and everyday living expenses are adding up quickly.

I’ve always worked hard and taken pride in earning my own way, but right now I need a little help to get through this tough time. The money raised will go toward:

• Medical bills and rehabilitation therapy

• Rent and essential living expenses while I recover

• Transportation and doctor visits

• Getting back to work safely once I’m cleared
