Justice for James – Help Us Seek Accountability and Justice for My Son - Also To Protect My Daughters Future

On November 20th around 7:30 pm, my 15-year-old son, James Dean Boyd Jr. tragically lost his life in a dirtbike accident that occurred in Plano, Texas has left us with an overwhelming amount of grief, many many unanswered questions, and an immense sense of loss.

James was a bright, loving, and kind-hearted boy with an entire future ahead of him. He was not just my son; he was a brother to four boys, his thirteen year old little sisters only protector, and inspiration to everyone who knew him.

Despite being under the care of family that was supposed to protect him, the situation that led to his passing was avoidable. The pain and anguish of losing him, especially in such a preventable way, is indescribable. We are deeply concerned for the safety and well-being of my 13-year-old daughter, who still resides in the same home under the same supervision. It is with deep regret and guilt that I have to admit that I did not have the funds to remove them from their care when they both asked me to.

I was in Plano, Texas within 24 hours of my son's death and still have not heard from anyone who was responsible for my son at the time of his death. I need answers! I am standing here at my son's accident site on Thanksgiving Day fighting for the strength to focus on the memories I have with him since reconnecting with him 2 years ago after being denied time with him all these years and I'll forever be grateful for getting to see him 2 weeks before his passing.

travel and lodging costs to travel between Missouri and Texas while I continue to fight for Justice

Protect my 13-year-old daughter by taking the necessary legal steps to ensure she is safe and no longer under the same harmful supervision.

Create a memorial to honor James’ life and give him the celebration he deserves – a reminder of the beautiful soul he was and the impact he had on all who knew him.

James was loved by so many and will never be forgotten. His memory will live on in the hearts of his four brothers, one sister, and the sister he will never meet, who is due to arrive soon. As we navigate this tragic chapter, we ask for your support—financially, emotionally, and spiritually.
