Our son James Esau was born on Monday, 5/12/25, two and a half months early, at 30 weeks old. Heidi was transported to Johns Hopkins University Hospital, and James is the NICU there for what may be up to six weeks.

Heidi was just discharged Friday, 5/16/25, after her surgery, and we now have to find local accommodations for her to be there daily so she is available to bring breastmilk to him for feeding.

Our hope is that sometime in the next few weeks, James is able to be transferred to Tidal Health in Salisbury, so that our commute is only 30 minutes instead of 3 hours each way. But not until he's fully stable, as he's currently getting the best care in the world at Johns Hopkins.
