Support James & Emily's Family Farm After Devastating Storm

I am raising funds to support my sister and her family—Emily, James, Harper, and Silas Stolte—who have spent years building their small family farm and business in Hana, Maui.

Unfortunately, a recent and rare storm caused devastating damage to their land. Despite preparing for a week for the forecasted wind and rain, the impact was far worse than they could have imagined.

I asked Emily to share the details of their situation, which I have included below. Please consider donating if you are able.

Our small fruit farm in Ka'eleku, Hana, has been hit hard by the recent Kona Low storm, and we are reaching out to our community for help as we begin the process of rebuilding.

In just a matter of days, years of hard work were severely damaged. Many of our fruit-bearing trees were knocked down or badly damaged, and countless unripe fruits that would have sustained our farm this season now lie scattered across the ground. What should have been a promising harvest has turned into a heartbreaking loss.

Beyond the crops themselves, the storm caused major damage to several of our farm structures that we rely on every day. Fences, storage areas, and other essential parts of the farm were damaged or destroyed, leaving us with an enormous amount of debris and cleanup before we can even begin to repair and rebuild.

Our immediate need is help clearing debris, removing damaged trees, and restoring the land so we can start rebuilding the farm that supports our family and feeds our community. The cost of equipment, labor, and materials to begin this process is beyond what we can manage on our own right now.

This farm represents years of dedication, care for the land, and a deep commitment to growing healthy food. With your support, we hope to clear the damage, replant our trees, repair our structures, and bring the farm back to life.

Donations will go directly toward cleanup, recovery, and rebuilding. If you’re unable to donate, sharing our story would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for considering donating to us, as we know many people are in need. All of your generosity will be ultimately paid forward to the best of our abilities.

Another way to support us is by purchasing our products, which are made directly from our land. You can find us at local farmers' markets or shop online at https://www.mauiadaptogenics.com/.

We appreciate you all!

Mahalo,

James, Emily, Harper and Silas
