Story:

My name is Emma Douglas. I'm his oldest child and I'm raising the GoFundMe on our dad's behalf. The honorable walk is at 11:45 at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana, on November 2nd. Our dad was a very loving and caring father. If you don't feel comfortable donating to the GoFundMe, I have a Cash App, and at the beginning of next week, I can send you the funeral home he'll be at, and you can donate directly to them if you're able.It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating and unexpected passing of our beloved father, son, and friend, James. At just 43 years old, James suffered a series of four strokes that led to him being taken off life support. In his final act of generosity, he became an organ donor, giving the gift of life to others. James leaves behind a loving family, including his children, ages 2, 8, 11, and 18. His passing has been a profound shock, as he was a vibrant and dedicated father who had just started a new job four weeks ago. He was so proud of this new chapter for his family, but with his passing so early in his new position, the family was left without life insurance.

We are now faced with the unexpected and overwhelming financial burden of covering his final expenses. We want to give our dad the memorial he deserves, a service that honors the loving and selfless man he was.

We are reaching out to our community for support during this heartbreaking time. All funds raised will go directly to covering funeral and memorial costs, helping to ease the financial strain on his family as they navigate this immense loss.
