On September 29, 2026, James Brennan suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. He remains hospitalized, fighting for his life, while his loving wife, Toula, their daughters, Olivia and Sophia, and his entire family hold on to hope and pray for his recovery. James is a retired NYC sanitation worker who proudly served his city for 20 years, including working at Ground Zero following the September 11th attacks. But above all, James is a devoted husband, an incredible father, and a cherished friend to so many.
If you have ever met James, you know he has a special gift for turning strangers into friends. His warmth, humor, generosity, and enthusiasm for life have created lasting friendships, from childhood to his years working in NYC and the countless relationships he has built through hockey. One of James’s greatest joys has been sharing his love of hockey with Olivia and Sophia, teaching his girls to play and love the sport that means so much to him. A devoted Rangers and Mets fan, James brings that same passion and heart to everything he does, especially his family.
Now it is our turn to be there for James and the family he loves so dearly. As James continues his fight, Toula and the girls face tremendous emotional and financial uncertainty. We hope to ease some of that burden so they can focus on what matters most: being together and supporting James. Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a difference. If you cannot contribute, please share this fundraiser and keep the Brennan family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and love. Your support means more than words can express. Keep fighting, JB.
