James has been ill for a long time now. However, we are beyond grateful to have this second chance at life.

‘James was diagnosed in 2022 with Stage 4 colon cancer. As a result of the many rounds of chemo, his heart has been damaged to the point where he needs a transplant right away.

James is receiving care from an incredible team of Doctors, here in Wilmington, NC. We have been transferred to Duke in Raleigh, which is a 4 hour round trip.

In addition to the emotional toll, this journey comes with significant financial challenges. I will need to step away from work to focus on James’ care. Additionally, we are facing travel costs, more medical bills, medical copays (a which already killing us) and other costs I’m sure we haven’t thought of….with all of this, we are facing one of the most challenging hardships yet.

We are sincerely asking from the bottom of our hearts to please help us during this devastating chapter in our lives.

With God, and the support, love and much needed laughter from friends & family, I know we will get through this together.
