Support James Bangura's Umrah 2024 Journey

Asalamu Alaikum, May the peace and blessings of God be upon you.

I pray this finds you and your family well. I am hoping to raise funds to go on an Umrah in December 2024. I'm looking for any support to help me embark on a spiritual journey to the house of God. If I am able to raise the funds for this trip this will transform my life and help me in renewing my faith. This journey of Umrah will not be like any travel or trip but it will be one that will expiate my sins, increase my faith, and allow me to set foot in the blessed lands of Mecca and Madinah.

Who am I?

My name is James Bangura and I am a 3rd year student at the Virginia Military Institute studying Computer Science. I was born and raised in a Muslim family and try my best in fulfilling my duties as a Muslim. I have made the intention to complete Umrah this year and need assistance in raising the funds. As a college student, covering the cost of an Umrah trip seems unfeasible but I know with the support of many kind souls this trip can become a reality, InshaAllah , God Willing.

Where will the funds go:

• Umrah package

• Food

• Any amount raised over what is needed for the trip will be used to give charity

Why do I need this trip:

• To spiritually reconnect with God Almighty, Allah SWT.

• To visit the blessed cities of Mecca and Madinah.

• To fulfill a dream to make Umrah as a college student.

• To learn more about my religion and deepen my love for Islam.

As mentioned in the narration of Abu Huraira: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Charity does not decrease wealth, no one forgives another but that Allah increases his honor, and no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah but that Allah raises his status.”
