7/19 - jambo has passed this morning. thank you everyone for the kind words and donations❤️ My name is Amelia and I’m a full time college student with two part time jobs. I rent an apartment with my boyfriend and we have two wonderful kittens named Peanut and Jambo. Jambo is 6 months old and was recently diagnosed with FIP (feline infectious peritonitis). This is a mutation of the common feline coronavirus and is fatal in 95% cases without treatment. FIP causes leaks in his organs and triggers a build up of fluid. At our emergency visit to the vet, they pulled out 550 mml of fluid from Jambo’s abdomen (last picture). The treatment we are looking at is called GS-441524 and it has an over 80% chance of success. The cost of full treatment will cost around $2000; any donation will help and be greatly appreciated. I am also without a car right now because somebody stole my steering wheel, (crazy I know) — being an adult is a lot harder than I expected it to be.
