Support Jamal Ahmed's Family

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon.

Br. Jamal Uddin Ahmed from Houston, TX passed away at Fajr time on March 13th after a sudden heart failure. He wasn't ill or anything of that sort. He was just 52 years old and leaves behind his wife and 2 children: a son and daughter, ages 20 & 22.

Br. Jamal touched the hearts of many in the Katy area and volunteered every Ramadan at the masjid -- from cleaning to serving, sponsoring iftaars, and donating as much as he could. He  worked 7 days a week, 10 hours a day, with no days off at a gas station. He didn't get to take Eid off to spend time with his kids.

Br. Jamal came to the United States 35 years ago in search of a better life for his family.  He left Pakistan at the age of 17.
He lost both parents at a young age and the responsibility to raise his family (three sisters and brother) fell on his shoulders. He was a like father to them in addition to his own family. He was known to always work hard, supporting his family in Houston as well as abroad. His wife also  step in and worked alongside Br. Jamal to help make ends meet -- all while raising two young children. The family has never owned their own home and have lived on rent. They have no savings.

On March 12th 2017, he came home from work at 11:30pm after an 11 hour shift. He hadn't seen his family the whole day. Next morning at Fajr time, he was going to work , showered and was wearing his work clothes. when suddenly  his wife heard a loud noise and rushed into the kitchen to find her husband lying on the floor. When she screamed, the rest of the family came out. They performed CPR on Br. Jamal for a while and rushed him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Little did they know he had passed away instantly when he collapsed. The family had just performed their very first umrah 44days before his death.

The funds collected will go directly into Br. Jamals wife's bank account and they will be used to pay rent, bills, and for other needs for his wife and two children. The family is greatly appreciative of all those who have been there for them during this very difficult time.

Please share this campaign with your friends and families as well as on social media. May Allah reward you for your generosity. Ameen. Please remember br. Jamal and his family in your duas.

My father was the main support for our household income he was the main lead, this has been a big loss and tragedy for us that we weren't prepared for PLEASE KEEP US IN YOUR PRAYERS JZK.

This campaign is now being managed by his daughter.
