I was born in Manchester, Jamaica, and after retiring as a flight attendant, I returned to Jamaica in 2009 and dedicated my life to supporting the children of Jamaica.
My husband and I have directed a Bible-Based Youth Development Foundation in Jamaica for 16 years.
Along with our coaches, we have trained thousands of children with great success. One school in Montego Bay, with over 1000 five & six year olds, was completely destroyed.
Over 300 of our staff and students suffered the loss of their roofs, cars Damaged and most of their possessions as a result of Hurricane Melissa.
It’s impossible for most of us to imagine losing everything with many living in the garage or on the verandas of those who were spared. In Jamaica, most insurance companies do not cover so called “Acts of God”.
All funds will be used in the restoration process of the devastating losses.
Our regular source of funding the Foundation was derived from our Airbnb rental, but due to cancellations caused by the hurricane, we have lost this source.
We need your support to assist those desperately in need.
Thank you so very much, and God bless you.
